Prof. Dr. Peter M. Huber
Prof. Dr. Peter M. Huber gained his Ph.D. Dr. jur. in 1987 and his postdoctoral qualification in constitutional and administrative law in 1991. He was Professor of Public Law in Augsburg. In 1992–2001 he was Professor of Constitutional and Administrative Law, European Law, Public, Commercial, and Environmental Law in Jena. He was Chair of Public Law and European Integration Law in Bayreuth from 2001 to 2002. Since 2002 he has held the Chair of Public Law and Political Philosophy in Munich.
From 2009 to 2010 Professor Huber was Interior Minister for Thuringia, and in 2010 he was made a Judge in Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court.
Among his publications are: Grundrechtsschutz durch Organisation und Verfahren als Kompetenzproblem in der Gewaltenteilung und im Bundesstaat (1987); Konkurrenzschutz im Verwaltungsrecht (1991); Recht der Europäischen Integration (second edition, 2002); Klarere Verantwortungsteilung von Bund, Ländern und Kommunen? (2004); Staat und Wissenschaft (2008); Beiträge zu Juristenausbildung und Hochschulrecht (2010). He is Joint Editor of the Handbuch Ius Publicum Europaeum, vols. I–IV (2007–11).
